Green Goddess

This is the yarn I spun for the magic yarn ball swap. Yummy mohair/wool/silk blend spun with snippets of Abuko from Curious Creek Fibers. I assembled little wool felt flowers with glass beads and spun them into the yarn. The glass leaves were attached just before I wound up little treasures into the yarn ball for my swap partner. My partner's favorite color is green, which was naturally, the inspiration for this yarn. Hope she loves it!

  1. What a lovely colour!

  2. It's loverly! How would you make anything useful from it though with the beads and do-dads?

  3. well, the glass leaves can be removed and added in after knitting, but you can certainly knit it just like it is. I would recommend combining it with other yarns for a lovely and artful free-form shawl/wrap, stripe it into a hat or a scarf knit length-wise on circular needles, or knit it into a little clutch purse and's the limit.
